Stories I only tell my friends by Rob Lowe
There are a few shows that I am “That Guy” about and one of them is The West Wing. So it interested me when I found out that Sam Seaborn wrote a book! Ok, maybe Sam didn’t but Rob Lowe did. Why is this interesting you may be asking yourself? I am a child of the 80′s and even more of a child of the 90′s and Rob Lowe just so happened to be a part of the pop culture that I soaked up through my life.
I have always been a sucker for Bios and this book is one of the main reasons why. The story of Rob’s life seems rocky when at home but it very strongly contrasted by being around people who would grow up to be some of the major Hollywood power houses of the 90′s and even today.
We tend to hear all these stories of childhood stars who crash and burn or fade away. I found this book facinating as it guides up through his childhood, teenage years and transitions into being an adult. It also is a plus that there are a lot of stories that pull back the curtain on parts of Hollywood.
I consider this one a must read for anyone interested in entertainment and the industry.
